That is exactly what this is.
You want a specialist to look at your body, build your plan, and guide you — every step of the way — back to the active life that has always been yours.
You’re an active woman who had a C-section.
Maybe you did a self-paced program. Maybe you’ve been seeing a local manual therapist. Maybe you have been following me on Instagram for a while, trying things on your own. You are not starting from zero — you have done some work. But you have hit the ceiling of what a generic approach can provide. For the results you want, you need someone to actually look at you.
The gym is where you decompress. Running is where you zone out. Your training community is where you belong. When that is taken away — by a surgery that nobody prepared you to recover from — the impact goes so much deeper than physical. You are not just weaker; you NEED to get back to activity. Without it, you are not yourself.
Nobody gets a knee replacement and is handed a newborn on the same day. But that is exactly what happened to you — and the system sent you home with nothing. No rehabilitation plan, no scar guidance, dismissed about your belly’s appearance. You have been doing what you were told, yet you’re still not where you feel you should be.
And it starts with one conversation. 🔥
That is what intentional, personalized C-section rehabilitation can do.
...back in the gym, on the field, on the trails — finally feeling like yourself again?
...your core rebuilding the way an athlete's core rebuilds — with a plan, with progression, with full strength when returning to fitness?
...less C-section Shelf, less scar tenderness, less fascial pulling?
What if every week you woke up knowing exactly what to do — no Googling, no second-guessing, no wondering if you are making things worse?
You're invited to
Stay surrounded by Your People - motivated, active women who want the best versions of themselves after C-section. Actively moderated by therapists.
Because healing does not stop when 1:1 sessions stop. You continue to have live classes and online resources long after your 1:1 sessions wrap up.
When your rehabilitation needs something that does not exist anywhere in the video library — Janette records it for you specifically. Your body. Your technique
(Combined value: $598 CAD) — included as your personal reference library. Janette tells you exactly which videos to use and when. No hunting. No guessing.
Have questions between sessions? No problem - just send a voice note / video / text. No more “losing healing time” because your rehab isn’t moving at the pace you need.
6 sessions over 8 weeks, or 10 sessions over 12 weeks. Spaced to match your recovery — flexible when life happens, front-loaded when you need more support.
Built for your body, your scar, your goals. Not a starting point — your actual plan, from day one.

Janette
I should tell you upfront: I have never had a C-section. But I have been a competitive rugby player & 5km runner who’s had two vaginal births and her own share of major orthopedic injuries. I know what it is to be an athlete whose body has just been through something significant, and to want — desperately — to get back.
What I cannot imagine is recovering from major abdominal surgery while simultaneously keeping a newborn alive. When I think about that combination — the sleep deprivation, the physical demand, the emotional weight of a surgical birth — and then picture someone trying to figure out their rehabilitation on top of all of that? That is where my 21 years of fury about this gap in healthcare comes from. And it is why this 1:1 program exists.
Here is what working with me actually looks like: I will ask you how you slept. I will celebrate aggressively when your scar starts to move. I will tell you when you are ready to push harder and when you need to back off. I will not tell you what you want to hear - I will tell you what is true. And I promise you — we will have fun doing this. Because nothing about your recovery has felt fun or light or hopeful in a while, and it should. ❤️🩹
Always in your corner,
“When I was pregnant and found out my baby was breech, I googled "C-section specialist online" and found you. Completely coincidentally my prenatal yoga teacher told me the next day about you. It was a no brainer for me then. I just emailed you directly and said “we’re working together.”
Shira,
41, IVF mom
“I was concerned that I wouldn't get my pre-pregnancy figure and strength back. I couldn't believe how quick I got the results desired. Every single exercise was adapted for me. My mom had me by C-section too, and when she saw me at 3 months postpartum she couldn't believe how good I looked, how strong.”
Maria,
Sweden, emergency C-section
“I bought online exercise programs but they didn't address my diastasis nor my Cesarean incision. I thought pain in my scar was just a normal part of exercising after C-section — but it's not. Learning to massage my scar, and relearning how to use my core, made all the difference. I wish I had started this first.”
Jenn,
8 months postpartum

The Concierge Cesarean Recovery Program
The gold standard of care is 1:1 — a plan built for your body, executed with expert guidance, adjusted as you go. That is what this is. Virtually, from anywhere in the world, starting whenever you are ready.
Most approaches give you a framework and ask you to apply it to yourself. The CCR starts with me assessing your body specifically — your scar, your diastasis, your movement, your sport — and building your plan from that. Every session, every technique, every progression is chosen for you. Many women find their way here after searching for a C-section therapist online and realizing that what they actually needed was someone who could understand their specific case. That is what this program is.
Pelvic floor physio is valuable and I work alongside pelvic floor providers — not instead of them. But, many pelvic health physical therapists don’t address C-section scar adhesions, progressive return-to-sport programming, or the full core rehabilitation sequence after surgical birth. Some CCR clients describe hitting a ceiling with their local pelvic health physio — not because their provider was not excellent, but because C-section recovery beyond pelvic floor physio requires a different scope. If you are not progressing, the CCR addresses what may still be missing.
Yes — and starting early is one of the most valuable things you can do. The most effective window for scar mobilization and core rehabilitation after Cesarean birth is within the first six months. My protocol begins well before the 6-week clearance appointment. If you are newly postpartum, you are in the best possible window. Book a Success Call [here] and I will tell you exactly where to start.
No. C-section complications years later — scar tenderness, pain with movement, C-section Shelf, tightness, pulling, weakness — can still respond to targeted massage mobilization techniques and progressive core rehabilitation. Meaningful improvement is possible at any stage. If your C-section recovery has not been progressing, it may mean that the right intervention has not been applied yet. Book a Success Call [here] regardless of your timeline.
This is exactly who the CCR was designed for. Return to running, return to powerlifting, return to HYROX, return to rugby after C-section — these goals require a specific progressive plan that accounts for your scar, your diastasis, your current movement capacity, and the demands of your sport. This is exactly what my training as an Athletic Therapist allows me to do. Over the decades, I’ve taken hundreds of injured athletes of all abilities and sports and have successfully rehabilitated them to return to full sport participation.
It is a free 30-minute virtual conversation — not a sales pitch. I will ask about your surgery, your symptoms, your fitness background, your goals. I will tell you honestly whether the CCR is the right fit, and which package would be best. Many clients make a decision within minutes — not because they were “sold to”, but because by the end of the conversation they already feel like I am the missing link in their C-section recovery success.
They may. Athletic Therapy benefits across Canada, Physiotherapy benefits in Ontario and British Columbia, and international healthcare spending accounts may all apply — depending on your specific plan. This is worth asking your provider ahead of your Success Call. I can then tell you exactly how the cost of the CCR program would be subsidized.
Exercise alone will not resolve the C-section shelf — and this is one of the most important things to understand. The shelf, or C-section overhang, is most often caused by the external scar being stuck to the internal myofascial scar, combined with unresolved core dysfunction. Core weakness after C-section that does not improve with exercise almost always means the underlying scar tissue restriction has not been addressed. The CCR works on the scar, the fascia, and the core together — in the right order, for your specific presentation.
